Associate Software Engineer -C#/.Net

Overview

Associate Software Engineer to join the EnCore ERP development team, building and maintaining parts of a large-scale enterprise resource planning system.

What you'll do

• Write safe, testable C# code using enterprise standards for parameter binding, exception handling, and resource cleanup.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries for joins, grouping, null handling, and transaction boundaries.
• Debug issues systematically using logs, breakpoints, and methodical reasoning.
• Participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer.
• Implement features and bug fixes from specifications with focus on edge cases and test coverage.
• Collaborate with QA, product, and customer success to understand requirements and validate solutions.

What you'll need

• Fundamentals of C# and .NET Framework, including value vs. reference types.
• Ability to use LINQ and collections like List<T> and Dictionary<TKey, TValue>.
• Familiarity with async/await patterns.
• SQL fundamentals including SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE and join/grouping concepts.
• Parameterized queries knowledge to help prevent SQL injection.
• Debugging discipline using a debugger and reviewing logs/errors before guessing.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with web development (ASP.NET, WinForms, or similar).
• Understanding of version control (Git, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks or test-driven development.
• Exposure to enterprise software or ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent self-directed learning).
