Associate Threat Response Analyst

Overview

Associate Threat Response Analyst for Mimecast’s Managed Threat Response (MTR) team in Messaging Security, supporting on-demand email threat resolution for customers.

What you'll do

• Analyze phishing and malicious email campaigns to identify IOCs.
• Categorize email threats and determine how to update detections.
• Provide email security advice, expertise, and remediation to customers.
• Use the Mimecast Administration Console to understand security policies and suggest customer configurations.
• Research and investigate the latest security threats and their potential impact.
• Participate in a 24/7 rotational shift schedule for continuous monitoring and response.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance threat detection, analysis, and response processes.

What you'll need

• 1+ years’ experience working with the Mimecast platform.
• Working knowledge of messaging (email traffic management) and routing.
• Experience and understanding of email security technologies.
• Strong understanding of DNS.
• Strong understanding of SMTP, SSL/TLS, POP3, IMAP, and TCP/IP.
• Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into management-friendly responses.
• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment (nights, weekends, holidays).

• Location: India - Bengaluru.
• Shifts: may require afternoon/evening shifts and holiday rotation for support.
• Work mode: hybrid model; employees expected to come to the office at least two days per week.
