Overview
The Automation & Tooling Engineer designs and builds digital capabilities for the Transformation Office, including automation, governance platforms, AI-enabled workflows, reporting automation, and self-service tools to improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Build and enhance a digital operating platform for portfolio governance, executive reporting, resource planning, and program execution.
- Develop intelligent automation to streamline governance, reporting, approvals, task management, notifications, and business workflows.
- Integrate AI into business processes for reporting, decision-making, workflow automation, content generation, and knowledge management.
- Automate data and reporting for milestones tracking, risk management, dependency management, action tracking, and executive decision logs.
- Build governance tooling to standardize governance tools and improve visibility, accountability, and execution consistency.
- Coordinate with Strategy, Program Management, Data and Insights, IT, Data Engineering, Information Security, and business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Drive user adoption with enablement materials, onboarding support, and improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
What you'll need
- 5–8 years of experience in Automation Engineering, Business Systems, Digital Transformation, Solution Development, or Technology Consulting in a global technology or SaaS organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise automation solutions that improve business operations and operational efficiency.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) and modern low-code/no-code development platforms.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, web services, connectors, middleware, and Microsoft 365/SharePoint/Teams.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered automation and enterprise AI technologies including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, OpenAI, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL, data integration, reporting automation, and cloud platforms such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Logic Apps, or Azure Functions.
- Working knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or C#.
