Automation Engineer

Overview

Automation Engineer responsible for industrial automation projects across system design, software development, testing, commissioning, and customer start-ups.

What you'll do

• Develop and program automation logic using Valmet DNA/MCS solutions.
• Plan software engineering scope with Chief Engineers and project teams.
• Coordinate with engineering and site teams to meet delivery milestones.
• Support factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation software and hardware applications.
• Maintain project documentation and uphold site safety standards.

What you'll need

• 4–7 years of industrial automation experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS systems such as Siemens, ABB, Allen-Bradley, or Valmet DNA.
• Experience with control logic development, testing, troubleshooting, and project execution.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings.
• Understanding of Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC.
• Strong English communication skills and willingness to travel internationally and within India.
