Python Automation Engineer – Intelligent Automation

Overview

Python Automation Engineer in the Intelligent Automation / Automation Centre of Excellence at M&G India, designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions across business functions.

What you'll do

• Analyse business processes to identify automation opportunities using Python and TypeScript-based frameworks.
• Develop, test, and deploy automation workflows following CoE governance and security standards.
• Build reusable automation scripts, utilities, APIs, and workflow components to improve operational efficiency.
• Automate business processes, data integrations, reporting, and enterprise system interactions.
• Create process documentation including requirement documents, solution design, test plans, and deployment artefacts.
• Provide hypercare, production monitoring, and incident management for deployed scripts.
• Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to deliver automation aligned to strategic objectives.

What you'll need

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience with Python scripting and automation development.
• Good working knowledge of TypeScript and modern development practices.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, modular development, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with source control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services including Functions, Logic Apps, Storage, Key Vault, and API Management.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and secure deployment practices.
• Graduate in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or related discipline.
