Automation Engineer II (PLC/DCS/SCADA)

Overview

Design, develop, test, commission, and support automation solutions for Cytiva bioprocess systems using UNICORN software and Rockwell Automation PLC platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and configure automation solutions for chromatography, filtration, TFF, and single-use mixer systems.
• Prepare instrumentation designs, loop diagrams, instrument indexes, cable schedules, and I/O lists.
• Develop Rockwell PLC software and configure UNICORN methods.
• Test, debug, optimize, commission, and execute instrumentation and automation components.
• Collaborate with suppliers, end users, project managers, and engineers.
• Prepare technical proposals, costings, schedules, and automation documentation.
• Train system users and support product lifecycle management.

What you'll need

• Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in automation or a similar position.
• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, E&TC, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA software testing and code debugging.
• Hands-on experience with the Siemens platform.
• Knowledge of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, ERES, S88, ISA, and IEC standards.
• Experience with project engineering or project management for biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Factory test or site work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience within the biopharmaceutical market.
• A higher or secondary degree in a related subject.

Details

• On-site role in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
• Travel up to 25% for project follow-up, inspection, site acceptance testing, and customer-site troubleshooting.
