Overview
As an AWS Senior Associate, you will support the design and delivery of cloud infrastructure solutions within PwC's Technology Consulting practice. You will analyze complex challenges, manage assigned workstreams, guide junior team members, and build client connections while supporting infrastructure engineering efforts.
What you'll do
- Design and implement AWS infrastructure solutions for client environments.
- Manage cloud migration workstreams and align technical activities to project timelines.
- Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Administer identity and access management, server operating systems, and core platform services.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot server, network, and storage issues.
- Apply DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous deployment methods to support releases.
- Evaluate cloud architectures for reliability, continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resiliency.
- Interpret technical requirements and translate them into scalable infrastructure designs.
- Review deliverables from junior team members and provide guidance on assigned tasks.
- Build client relationships and communicate progress, risks, and technical considerations clearly.
- Analyze complex challenges, navigate changing priorities, interpret feedback, and collaborate across teams.
- Contribute to deployment activities and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
What you'll need
- At least a Bachelor's degree.
- At least 4 years of experience.
- 3-5 years designing and operating AWS infrastructure, including time in a client-facing or consulting delivery role.
- Oral and written proficiency in English.
- Production-grade Terraform experience, including module design, remote state, workspaces, and drift management.
- Demonstrated AWS multi-account landing zone and enterprise networking design experience.
- Migration delivery using AWS-native tooling: AWS Application Migration Service, AWS Database Migration Service, AWS DataSync, and AWS Migration Hub.
- Database experience at a working engineer level, including strong SQL, relational database administration with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, and migration of databases to managed services such as Amazon RDS or Amazon Aurora.
- Container platform operations using Docker plus Kubernetes or an equivalent orchestrator.
- Applied use of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS Cloud Adoption Framework on client environments.
- AI-assisted engineering in practice using tools such as Amazon Q Developer, Amazon Kiro, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex for IaC, scripting, and runbook authoring, with review and testing of generated output.
Nice to have
- Amazon EKS or Amazon ECS experience.
- Amazon Web Services deployment experience across client engagements.
- Cloud migration experience involving infrastructure architecture and support.
- Managing CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment practices.
- Applying troubleshooting skills across servers, storage, and networking.
- Building familiarity with cloud compliance, IAM, and monitoring.
- Mentoring associates while navigating ambiguity and client needs.
