Azure Lead Data Engineer

Overview

Lead Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and evolving scalable data solutions for enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and AI workloads.

What you'll do

• Partner with business stakeholders to shape requirements and define data solutions with clear outcomes.
• Lead and mentor the data engineering team and drive engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership across data architecture, development, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, and product owners to enable adoption of AI and advanced analytics.
• Maintain and evolve the data platform for business reporting and AI workloads.
• Design and maintain scalable data ingestion frameworks for batch and streaming use cases.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or engineering is required.
• 10-13 years overall experience in Data & Analytics.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure data engineering technologies experience.
• 3+ years leading data engineering teams or similar technical lead roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog for governance and security, plus CI/CD using DevOps.
