BigData Hadoop and Cloud Engineer-Assistant Vice President

Overview

Assistant Vice President role on the Applications Development team, responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team, with a focus on big data, cloud and data engineering.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines.
• Manage and optimize data solutions within cloud environments, specifically AWS and Snowflake.
• Implement and support large-scale data processing using Hadoop ecosystems.
• Develop and integrate real-time data streaming solutions leveraging Kafka.
• Utilize PySpark for complex data transformations and analytics on platforms like Databricks.
• Contribute to the development and integration of microservices for data-driven applications.
• Perform system administration, scripting, and troubleshooting in Unix environments.

What you'll need

• 8-10 years of total experience required.
• Hadoop: 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• AWS and Snowflake: 2+ years of hands-on experience.
• Databricks: 1+ year of hands-on experience.
• Unix: 7+ years of hands-on experience.
• Kafka: 2+ years of hands-on experience.
• PySpark: 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• Microservices: hands-on experience required.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
