Data Fabric Cloud Engineer

Overview

Develop cloud-based user interfaces and front-end solutions for HPE’s next-generation cloud platform, GreenLake. The role focuses on creating responsive, reusable and high-performance web applications that handle large and complex data.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain user interfaces for web applications.
• Develop responsive interactive user interfaces using modern UI technologies.
• Work with the UX team on designs and wireframes.
• Translate UX designs and wireframes into high quality code.
• Test and troubleshoot user interface features, functionalities and React code.
• Create and construct visualizations capable of depicting vast amounts of data.
• Build reusable, extensible web components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Optimize components for maximum performance while handling large and complex data.
• Collaborate with other developer teams to discuss user interface applications and ideas.
• Work closely with customers/clients, web designers and project managers to create strong and effective applications.
• Analyze feature specifications and determine required coding, testing and integration activities.
• Identify, debug and create solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for features adhering to performance, scale, usability and security requirements.
• Contribute toward innovation and integration of new technologies into projects.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalently.
• Minimum 7 years’ of UI development experience.
• 7+ years of experience in web application UI development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS and Node.js.
• Extensive knowledge of ReactJS, TSX/JSX, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing applications in React, including component design and state management for specific use cases.
• Excellent front-end coding skills.
• Hands-on experience building reusable, extensible web components and front-end libraries.
• Good understanding of progressive web applications and micro-frontend architectures.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and micro-services.
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as SSO and Non-SSO.
• Experience writing optimized, secured programs.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack and NPM.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Fast learning and adapting to new technology skills.
• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools, including JIRA, Bitbucket and Confluence.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, event-driven programming paradigms, and designing for scale and performance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and agility in a changing environment.
