Overview
BIM Modeler focused on coastal and waterfront construction projects. Create and manage detailed 3D BIM models, coordinate with design teams, and prepare drawings and documentation for construction.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for coastal and maritime projects.
- Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure model accuracy and compliance.
- Extract and organize BIM model data to support construction planning and scheduling.
- Identify and resolve modeling conflicts and inconsistencies via systematic analysis.
- Prepare technical drawings, schedules, and documentation from BIM models.
- Perform QA reviews to maintain model integrity and data accuracy.
- Incorporate design changes and modifications into models and document processes.
What you'll need
- 3-5 years of professional experience in BIM modeling and 3D visualization.
- Expertise with BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or Navisworks.
- Experience working on coastal, waterfront, or maritime construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
- Solid understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practices for coastal environments.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
Nice to have
- Experience with quantity takeoff, cost estimation, or construction sequencing through BIM.
- Familiarity with coastal engineering principles and maritime construction challenges.
- Experience with BIM collaboration platforms and cloud-based project management tools.
