Business Accountant

Overview

Business Accountant supporting accounting activities across the Group’s accounting functions, including monthly management accounts, variance analysis, reconciliations, and year-end audit support.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and revenue, cost, and headcount variance analysis.
• Analyze monthly financial and operational variances and document commentary on significant trends.
• Perform key reconciliations and coordinate balance sheet reconciliations within the team.
• Support preparation of financial reports for assigned business functions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and financial modelling for business decision-making.
• Assist with submission of information to external auditors and support year-end audit processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in accounting efficiency and effectiveness.

What you'll need

• 6-8 years of post-qualification experience.
• Management accounting experience including accruals/prepayments and variance analysis.
• Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and clearing open items.
• Working knowledge of ERP.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
