Business Analyst – JDE Finance

Overview

Support, implement and build new functionality in the JD Edwards Finance module as a Business Analyst assisting the US-based Solution Architect within Otis's global JDE program.

What you'll do

• Assist the Solution Architect Finance and Senior Manager GJDE Finance in improving the Global Model and enforcing compliance across global locations.
• Assess Change Requests and make recommendations on fit/gap analysis.
• Perform functional design, create specifications, coordinate work with developers, and perform end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced partner resources in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Work with the Solution Architect on process changes and workarounds to avoid gaps and reduce Change Requests.
• Analyze and suggest resolution for critical issues from sites live on JDE.
• Work closely with the World Headquarters (WHQ) team to stay informed of upcoming projects and functionality that may impact projects and development efforts.
• Work closely with the development team to drive standardization.
• Perform preliminary functional testing, demo and train JDE functional solutions to new sites and business users.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners in developing solutions.
• Work closely with the implementation team to get requirements in place.
• Document activities, share them with the team, and upload them to a central location; provide knowledge transfer to the team and stakeholders on production deployment.
• Communicate work status to relevant stakeholders in a well-timed manner.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of in-depth knowledge and understanding of the JDE Finance Module (AP, AR, GL and FA modules).
• Strong knowledge of interfaces to the Finance module.
• 10+ years overall IT experience in the Finance domain.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of security, configuring and setups within JDE.
• Knowledge of P2P and O2C processes in JDE.
• Knowledge of scheduler jobs in JDE.
• Experience working closely with a diverse development team.
• Experience with functional specifications design and review for JDE programs and ability to communicate development efforts.
• Experience working on international projects with a global team.
• Detail oriented with a strong analytical background to perform preliminary functional testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to achieve results in a dynamic and demanding environment within cost and time.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees.
• Demonstrates the highest ethical standards.
