Business Analyst- Manager

Overview

Business Analyst (Manager) at PwC Acceleration Center India, supporting data modernization efforts within the Data and Analytics Engineering practice, with responsibility for leading teams and client account workstreams.

What you'll do

• Lead data engineering workstreams across client-facing modernization engagements
• Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables while balancing priorities across multiple requests
• Guide teams in building data pipelines, warehouse structures, and transformation logic using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake
• Review data architecture, modeling, and integration approaches to support scalable analytics solutions
• Apply data quality, validation, security, and anonymization practices across development activities
• Drive performance tuning, query optimization, and database troubleshooting efforts for complex data environments
• Coach junior team members through feedback, mentoring, and review of technical work products
• Identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, automation, and digital tooling across engagements
• Translate client business needs into technical data solutions that support modernization and product innovation

What you'll need

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 8 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English
• Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain knowledge (policy, claims, billing, underwriting data processes)
• Guidewire X-Center knowledge and experience with insurance reporting frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire data model and data dictionary
• Strong working knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, data modeling, and SQL
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data flows, and data transformation logic
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Ability to work closely with data engineering and QA teams to support build, testing, and validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in agile delivery methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with business users and technical teams
• Strong ownership to end to end delivery and experience in leading teams for Data migration projects

Nice to have

• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
• Demonstrated data modernization delivery across cloud platforms and data warehouses
• Applying data architecture, modeling, and pipeline design to client workstreams
• Managing cross-functional teams through Agile delivery and changing priorities
• Coaching junior team members through feedback, review, and mentoring
• Translating business questions into analytical requirements and solution approaches
• Using Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or Airflow
