Cabin Retrofit Solution Engineer

Overview

Retrofit Solutions Engineer for the A350 within Airbus Commercial Aircraft, based in Bangalore. You will define and integrate retrofit design solutions for A350 aircraft post-delivery, focusing on cabin modifications and related mechanical, electrical and cabin systems adaptation.

What you'll do

• Coordinate all design activities in terms of cost, time and quality.
• Check and release retrofit design data sets.
• Acquire the required technical signature delegations for this activity.
• Prepare and follow up all relevant certification documents, e.g. Full-TRS (MP dossier), MAS, ICS and supporting documents.
• Analyze PRE and POST status of the aircraft relevant to ATA-92 with respect to the upgrade or change request.
• Manage and validate internal and external engineering work packages.
• Provide engineering data to Production, supply chain and other involved internal stakeholders.
• Participate in technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide Service Bulletin embodiment support, remote or on-site (worldwide).
• Support airworthiness activities and Safety Management System.
• Give guidance to subcontractors and project stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Deep understanding of typical A350 design tools such as CATIA V5, VPM, Pass V2.
• Working experience and knowledge of ATA-92.
• Knowledge of SIDP ATA-92 (System Installation Design Principle).
• 5 to 10 years as Design/Retrofit Engineer or similar position.
• Degree in engineering or similar.
• Contribute to design activities for linefit or Retrofit Solutions.
• Lead and coordinate operational teams, guaranteeing quality and on-time delivery of project deliverables.
• Experience in the A350 Programme.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret full 3D engineering drawings and specifications.
• Advanced level of English (mandatory).
• Team player with good communication skills, well organized, able to work independently.
• High level of personal responsibility and flexibility.

Nice to have

• Project Management skill.
• Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) experience.
