CAD/EDA Methodology Engineer

Overview

Develop and improve automation tools and infrastructure for ASIC front-end design flows, supporting CAD and engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain automation tools for ASIC front-end design flows.
• Analyze workflows and propose efficiency, scalability, and usability improvements.
• Implement software solutions using Python, Perl, C++, or similar languages.
• Debug CAD tools, scripts, and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with design and CAD teams on automation requirements.
• Support adoption of existing and new tools.
• Evaluate AI/ML approaches for EDA tools and design productivity.

What you'll need

• 0–1 year of experience in CAD/EDA automation, software development, or RTL design.
• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics/VLSI, or a bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• Programming skills in Python, Perl, C++, or similar languages.
• Understanding of software development, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Ability to analyze requirements and design practical software solutions.
• Basic understanding of ASIC front-end design flow and RTL concepts.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts in engineering workflows.
