Cash Application Specialist - India AR Delivery Hub

Overview

Cash Application Specialist for the India AR Delivery Hub, central to finance operations and accurate cash application processes.

What you'll do

• Manage cash application processing for supported regions, including cash posting, bank/lockbox file review, remittance matching, and unapplied cash clearing.
• Supervise cash application queues, ensure SLA adherence, run quality checks, and manage aging of unapplied cash.
• Develop standardized SOPs, controls, handoffs, and issue paths between India Cash Application, regional collections, billing, and AR Resolution.
• Collaborate with Regional Managers and the India Hub Manager on collections, allocations/cash application dependencies, and capacity planning.
• Identify posting issues, remittance gaps, deduction indicators, and unresolved items needing handoff to collections or AR Resolution.
• Use authorized AI-powered tools for detecting unmatched receipts, duplicate payments, missing remittance, and exception patterns.
• Support automation of dashboards, SLA reporting, queue prioritization, and quality checks while maintaining review controls.

What you'll need

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in cash application or related AR cash processes.
• Experience in accounts receivable cash application, cash allocation, remittance processing, unapplied cash management, or order-to-cash shared services.
• Strong understanding of AR subledger, payment matching, lockbox/bank files, customer remittance, and deductions/short-pays.
• Proven experience leading daily workflow, training others, monitoring SLAs, and improving process quality in shared services/global delivery.
• Capability to detect challenges and advance cash application workflows with structured approaches.
• Proficiency in using AI and automation tools for process improvement.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent communication and leadership skills.
