Category Development Manager

Overview

Lead category planning and performance with retail partners by using retailer and syndicated data to drive assortment, merchandising, and pricing decisions for Red Bull Energy category.

What you'll do

• Develop retailer relationships for category management needs.
• Oversee online and offline assortment and merchandising optimization.
• Plan and evaluate new product introductions, seasonal programs, and pricing/promotions.
• Create analytics and selling stories to identify risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline reporting cadences and conduct macro assessments.
• Deliver category reviews, plans, and strategies with retailer partners.
• Manage planogram processes with retailers and co-develop best-in-class executions.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of experience in consumer goods, retail, category management, sales analytics, shopper insights, or syndicated data.
• Experience leveraging syndicated, POS, panel, and retailer data to drive growth and performance.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and stories.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and in-store execution strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Food Service and/or On Premise channels.
• CPCM certification and/or a Master’s degree.
• Experience working with third-party agencies (brokers, data/insight providers).
• Beverage/DSD experience.
• Experience with analytical tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, ProSpace).

Details

• Base salary range of $92,000 - $138,000 plus cash incentives (actual offers may vary).
