CISO (Chief Information & Security Officer)

Overview

CISO (Chief Information & Security Officer) role responsible for protecting Energy Exemplar’s digital assets and safeguarding employee and customer data.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the information security team with guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee and enhance the product security program and integrate secure practices throughout the SDLC.
• Detect, respond to, and recover from security incidents, including incident ownership and remediation follow-up.
• Continuously evaluate cybersecurity risks and enforce mitigation measures/controls.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and be able to present to regulators regarding issues or inquiries.
• Manage security technologies and security awareness across employees.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in information security, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on and senior leadership experience in security, engineering, or DevSecOps management.
• In-depth understanding of security technologies and security architecture, including application architecture and compliance criteria.
• Experience with secure coding practices, threat modeling, identity and access management, and incident response/recovery.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, network security, data protection, and security in a software development environment.
• Proficiency with security tools such as static and dynamic analysis tools, vulnerability scanners, and pen testing.
• BS degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technical field.
