Civil Engineer

Overview

Civil Engineer for AECOM’s Transportation Department in the Greenville, SC office. The role supports transportation and site development projects from concept through construction, including stormwater design and analysis.

What you'll do

• Develop engineering solutions from initial concepts through detailed design and construction.
• Design and analyze stormwater management systems for site development projects.
• Size and design stormwater detention/retention basins.
• Prepare drainage calculations and reports.
• Review municipal, county, and state stormwater ordinances.
• Coordinate with site civil designers to incorporate drainage requirements into site layouts.
• Create models and plan sheets with AutoCAD Civil 3D for roadways or general site development.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
• Be an EIT or be able to obtain EIT within 12 months of hire.
• United States citizenship required due to the nature of the role.
• A valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
• Ability to perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments of an experienced engineer using established procedures.
• Experience expected in AutoCAD Civil 3D models/plan sheets, quantity take-offs, and technical specification development (preferred).
