Claims Analytics Specialist

Overview

Claims Analytics Specialist responsible for metrics and measurement for global claims efforts, including data models, financial analyses, and success measures.

What you'll do

• Collect and synthesize qualitative and quantitative metrics and update key stakeholders.
• Create and maintain data models and financial analyses.
• Develop optimization models based on complex data strategies.
• Determine and manage key success metrics for global claims initiatives.
• Conduct analyses on large datasets to evaluate and prioritize trends and issues.
• Translate manual processes to become more autonomous.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree).
• Proficiency with MS SQL, Excel, Access, and business intelligence tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Basic knowledge of statistical terminology and understanding of analytics.
• Self-starter who is very curious, independent, and quick learner.

Nice to have

• T-SQL, VBA, PowerShell, and Python skills.
• Knowledge of statistical measures like standard deviation, correlation, and simple linear regression.
• Working knowledge of UPS claims process, systems, and terminology.

• 6-month temporary assignment from Oct 1 to April 16.
