Claims Examiner - Complex

Overview

Handle complex homeowners property and casualty claims, including property damage, disputed claims, investigations, and litigation, from coverage evaluation through resolution.

What you'll do

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims.
• Review policies, reports, photographs, statements, and damage estimates.
• Determine coverage, damage estimates, reserves, and compensation.
• Handle homeowners, dwelling fire, tenant, condo, and personal property claims.
• Prepare claim payment or denial correspondence and request payments.
• Maintain accurate claim files, reports, data, and documentation.
• Coordinate with insureds, attorneys, adjusters, agents, vendors, contractors, and experts.

What you'll need

• Five or more years of relevant residential property and casualty experience or training handling property or liability claims.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to use claims systems, including PTS and ImageRight.
• Experience with Xactimate and Xactanalysis.
• Texas adjuster license and other appropriate state adjuster licenses.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and handle difficult customer situations.

• Remote position in the United States.
• Annual pay range: $68,300–$95,600.
