Cloud Engineer(Contractor)

Overview

Cloud Engineer (Contractor) to design, architect, and support scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

What you'll do

• Design and architect GCP cloud infrastructure focused on scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Build, run, and optimize Kubernetes clusters using containerization and microservices architecture.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build and Jenkins.
• Define cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices, mainly with Terraform.
• Manage data integration and ETL workflows across cloud and hybrid platforms.
• Establish and uphold cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks aligned to TELUS security standards.
• Set up observability and monitoring using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience designing and architecting cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices architecture.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Experience with data integration and ETL processes across multiple platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks aligned to TELUS security standards.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
