Cloud Migration Engineer

Overview

Assess existing solutions and infrastructure and plan, deliver and implement application and data migrations to private and public cloud environments, with a focus on Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE).

What you'll do

• Evaluate current infrastructure and solutions to determine the best approach for migrating applications and data to cloud environments.
• Lead the development and execution of migration plans ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Be an SME and manage the team, taking responsibility for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align migration objectives with organizational goals.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE).
• Proficiency in Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE).
• Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in designing scalable and high-performance cloud architectures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and migration.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline migration processes.
• 15 years full time education.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Virtual Private Cloud.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Google Kubernetes Engine.
