Overview

Commercial Counsel, EMEA on Anthropic’s founding Commercial Legal team, partnering with sales to negotiate commercial deals and advise on legal and regulatory considerations for responsible AI deployment across EMEA.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements for EMEA GTM/sales transactions.
• Advise Sales and Go-to-Market teams to support deal velocity.
• Build and maintain commercial legal infrastructure (templates, playbooks, process improvements).
• Identify and escalate legal risks while keeping business momentum.
• Track legal developments affecting AI technologies.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders across EMEA, including clients, regulators, and industry partners.

What you'll need

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in a relevant EMEA jurisdiction.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (e.g., enterprise customer or SaaS agreements).
• Strong legal writing skills and ability to explain legal concepts to non-lawyers.
• 4+ years of legal experience.
