Content Creator, K3-K5

Overview

Content Creator role writing scripts for short science education videos in the K3–K5 content line, turning science concepts into scripts, storyboards and production briefs for vendors.

What you'll do

• Follow JoVE guidelines for script generation to produce scientifically accurate, educational and engaging lessons.
• Create accompanying storyboards to visualize scientific concepts in an easy-to-understand manner for undergraduate students.
• Generate documents using JoVE guidelines to provide instructions to media professionals such as voice talent, video editors and animators.
• Review content (scripts, storyboards and animation rough-cuts) and provide feedback based on your knowledge and expertise.

What you'll need

• A Master's in Life Sciences.
• 2–3 years of experience writing scripts for K12 videos.
• Ability to picture how each line will look on screen, and to know when a visual should carry the explanation instead of words.
• Eagerness to convey science using a creative approach.
• Enthusiasm to learn how to communicate scientific concepts visually.
• Strong written communication skills.
