Overview

Software Engineer role for the Data Ocean engineering team, focused on building reliable control plane services and improving software quality through automation and validation.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain control plane services for Data Ocean platform management and orchestration.
• Design and implement management APIs, service interfaces, and workflows for caching, configuration, and lifecycle activities.
• Build monitoring, telemetry, and operational capabilities for system visibility and reliability.
• Develop automated testing frameworks for feature validation and multiple testing types (functional, integration, regression, system-level).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed platform components and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD improvements to enable faster and more reliable software delivery.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience developing software applications, infrastructure software, or distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Go, or Java.
• Experience with Linux-based software development.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience building automation frameworks and software validation tools.
• Understanding of storage systems, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
