Overview
Software Engineer role for the Data Ocean engineering team, focused on building reliable control plane services and improving software quality through automation and validation.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain control plane services for Data Ocean platform management and orchestration.
- Design and implement management APIs, service interfaces, and workflows for caching, configuration, and lifecycle activities.
- Build monitoring, telemetry, and operational capabilities for system visibility and reliability.
- Develop automated testing frameworks for feature validation and multiple testing types (functional, integration, regression, system-level).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed platform components and contribute to root-cause analysis.
- Support CI/CD improvements to enable faster and more reliable software delivery.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience developing software applications, infrastructure software, or distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Go, or Java.
- Experience with Linux-based software development.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience building automation frameworks and software validation tools.
- Understanding of storage systems, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure concepts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
