CRP Engineer

Overview

Lead Protection & Control engineer in Hitachi Energy's Grid Automation business in Peenya, Bangalore, leading a team of design engineers for Protection & Control Panel Engineering in High Voltage, Extra High Voltage and Ultra High Voltage Transmission Substations.

What you'll do

• Assess contract specifications (requirements, deviations, risks, opportunities).
• Develop base designs with all necessary concepts, cost-effective solutions based on customer contract specification and technical offer.
• Supervise the engineering process and documentation quality of the team of design engineers to ensure drawings/documents are technically complete compared to the project specification.
• Lead technical resolution of solutions with customers and translate customer requirements into Hitachi solutions.
• Actively manage technical changes, risks and claims (technical part only).
• Support bids and proposals to find solutions that meet customer functional requirements and are competitive in the market.
• Lead CRP drawing standardization and solution optimization activities for a set of customers.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Protection & Control Panel Engineering.
• Experience leading a team of design engineers.
• Leadership capability.
• Strong communication skills.
• Robust knowledge of power system networks, protection, control and substation automation domain.
