Overview

As a Cubist Quantitative Researcher Intern, you will support quantitative alpha research that informs investment decisions.

What you'll do

• Provide research assistance to full-time researchers.
• Help with data collection and preliminary analysis.
• Follow, digest, and analyze the latest academic research.
• Improve and build on recent research work.

What you'll need

• Be a Ph.D. candidate in a quantitative discipline (finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or related).
• Have programming experience in R, Python, or C++.
• Have experience with SQL.
• Have solid research experience in your specialty area.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Be detail-oriented and able to learn and apply new methodologies.

Nice to have

• Prior financial services experience is not required.
