Custom Software Engineer

Overview

Lead the design, build and configuration of applications as the primary point of contact, acting as the SME and managing the team through project delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead the design, development and configuration of specialized applications.
• Take ownership of the project lifecycle and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Act as the main liaison for the project, overseeing progress and addressing challenges.
• Be an SME, collaborate with and manage the team, and be responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the planning and execution of project tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency and quality.

What you'll need

• Mandatory Workday-related certification for the primary skill.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Minimum 7.5 years of experience in Workday Studio.
• Proficiency in Workday Studio.
• Strong knowledge of integration design and development within Workday environments.
• Experience in configuring and customizing Workday applications to meet business needs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Workday integrations.
• Familiarity with web services, XML, XSLT and related technologies used in Workday Studio.
• Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive software solutions.
