Custom Software Engineering Lead

Overview

Lead a team of Java full stack engineers who build custom software using agentic development workflows rather than writing code manually, owning technical direction, architecture and delivery.

What you'll do

• Act as subject matter expert, collaborate with and manage the team to perform.
• Make team decisions and engage with multiple teams on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align software solutions with organizational objectives.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of Java/J2EE enterprise application development experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot, React / API including MVC, Security, JDBC/JPA.
• Experience with messaging/event technologies such as Kafka, JMS, MQ, or Event Hub.
• Good knowledge of RDBMS, e.g., PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with Git, JUnit and CI/CD.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, especially GitHub Copilot (GHCP).
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• 15 years full time education.

Nice to have

• Azure or other public cloud exposure.
• Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture experience.
• Experience with Sonar.

• Location: Pune Kharadi client office.
• Work mode: 3 days a week in the client office.
