Customer Account Specialist

Overview

Customer Account Specialist role in HPE Financial Services, managing the customer lifecycle and collection process and acting as the accounts receivable point of contact for customers.

What you'll do

• Monitor, report, document and resolve payment deviations (payment delays).
• Serve as the accounts receivable point of contact, resolving invoicing and payment queries and ensuring an effortless customer experience.
• Meet the company's AR targets, working closely with the customer's accounts payable team to ensure payment.
• Work with internal functions to ensure all invoice payments are applied and closed.
• Support customers in understanding the channels available to engage with the company, for example the portal.
• Follow up by mail and calls with customers on payments.
• Initiate collection steps for default customers, including sales escalation and dunning or collection letters.
• Work with the Collection Manager and legal to initiate legal steps.
• Manage external and internal queries.
• Design solutions to ensure smooth processes and cater to agreed customised solutions.
• Adhere to internal and external compliance requirements.

What you'll need

• Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or 1-2 years related experience, or a Master's degree.
• Basic knowledge in the field of Customer Relations.
• Demonstrated verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of microcomputer hardware and basic-level knowledge of operating systems software.
• Demonstrated writing and correspondence skills.
• Skill level expectations of 1 or 2 out of 5.
