Cyber Solutions Architect

Overview

Cyber Solutions Architect (CSA) designs secure, scalable solution architectures that support digital transformation across RTX businesses.

What you'll do

• Partner with business and digital teams to define secure-by-design architectures for modernization initiatives.
• Develop architecture overview documents and security deliverables aligned to patterns, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Apply reusable reference architectures and threat modeling to support secure solution design decisions.
• Participate in architecture governance workflows including architecture review and compliance review processes.
• Collaborate with GRC, Legal, Privacy, and Infrastructure teams to support secure and compliant architecture implementation.
• Support System Security Plans (SSPs) by ensuring they are complete, accurate, and aligned to regulatory and enterprise security requirements.

What you'll need

• Have 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity (or 8+ years with a relevant master’s degree).
• Demonstrate ability to support complex cybersecurity solution development or integration projects.
• Know secure system design and architecture modeling and how to apply compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO-27001, NIST SP 800-171, CSF & CMMC).
• Have experience securing cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure), including identity and access management and secure deployment patterns.
• Understand modern networking concepts and secure connectivity (e.g., routing, firewalling, ingress/egress control).
• Have strong documentation and communication skills to convey architecture decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
