Cybersecurity Analyst - Detection and Response

Cybersecurity Analyst focused on Detection & Response, helping identify risks, investigate threats, and support incident escalation and remediation for the HP enterprise.

What you'll do

• Identify areas of risk and provide input on remediation and mitigation.
• Scope the extent and impact of vulnerabilities, attacks, or breaches.
• Resolve security issues related to vulnerabilities, incidents, and threats via analysis and research.
• Support incident escalation, assess probable damages, and propose damage control and remediation actions.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, run analyses on security incidents and threats, and research countermeasures.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain security solutions based on analysis and incident resolution.
• Monitor open source feeds and reporting on the latest threats against computer network defenses.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of relevant experience in security operations, incident response, or threat hunting.
• In-depth knowledge of cyber and IT security risks, threats, and prevention measures.
• Understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP) and common protocols (HTTP, FTP).
• Understanding of digital forensics, including file system/registry artifacts, memory analysis, or malware reverse engineering.
• Technical cybersecurity certification (preferred) such as from SANS, ISACA, (ICS)2, CompTIA, Cisco, or CERT.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience (preferably in cyber & IT security or related field).
