Security Operations Governance & Modernization, AVP

Overview

AVP for Security Operations Governance & Modernization, responsible for governance, operational effectiveness, modernization strategy, and continual improvement of enterprise security operations.

What you'll do

• Define and maintain security operations governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and operating procedures.
• Lead governance forums with Security Operations, Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Audit, and vendor teams.
• Establish and monitor security KPIs, KRIs, SLAs, compliance metrics, and operational reporting.
• Govern security incident management, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security monitoring processes.
• Drive remediation of audit findings, security risks, regulatory observations, and compliance gaps.
• Oversee third-party security service providers and managed security operations performance.
• Ensure operation of SIEM, EDR, IAM, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Intelligence platforms.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of experience in cyber security operations, security engineering, or security governance.
• 8+ years of experience leading large-scale security operations or governance functions.
• Experience managing enterprise SIEM, SOC, vulnerability management, and incident response programs.
• Experience with IBM z/OS (z15/z17), TSO/ISPF, MQ, and CICS.
• Experience with Splunk and security technologies such as EDR, PAM, event monitoring, network security, encryption & threat intelligence.
• Experience with DB2 and IMS databases.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools with critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
