Data Analyst

Overview

Data Analyst role supporting the Data Analytics team across domains like Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and Finance by turning data into insights for strategic decisions.

What you'll do

• Execute data analysis to support merchandising decisions using established frameworks.
• Prepare data, run analyses, and summarize results for scenario and decision analysis.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and basic models to track performance and trends.
• Query and analyze large datasets using SQL and tools such as GCP BigQuery.
• Support data pipeline development and validation with data engineering teams.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of analytical outputs and communicate findings.
• Document analysis logic, definitions, and assumptions for transparency and reuse.

What you'll need

• 2–6 years overall experience and 1–3 years relevant experience.
• Hands-on SQL skills including joins, volatile tables, and basic query tuning plus DW/BI concepts.
• Experience with at least one BI visualization tool (PBI, Looker, Tableau) and ability to learn more.
• Working knowledge of structured databases (Oracle, Hive) and unstructured databases using HDFS.
• Exposure to large-scale datasets using GCP BigQuery, Spark, or SQL-based warehouses and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of R, Python, Hive, or other open-source languages/tools.
• Understanding of analytical techniques such as Regression, time-series models, and classification.
