Overview
Data Analyst I role focused on building and optimizing SQL-based data extraction and transformation, ensuring data quality and timely delivery, and supporting analytics/operational data needs.
What you'll do
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries using joins and CTEs for data extraction and transformation.
- Implement business logic and data quality checks within ADF and Databricks pipelines.
- Troubleshoot data issues via root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Track system performance to ensure timely data delivery within defined SLAs.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders for data-related operational and analytical needs.
- Support CI/CD using Azure DevOps and understand release processes and release management.
- Provide support during shift hours aligned to EST time zones.
What you'll need
- 2–4 years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or ETL processes.
- Must hold an Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification.
- Preferred: Databricks certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Technical skills listed: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Gen2 (ADLS), SQL, and Python/PySpark.
