Data Analyst, Operations (IP & Legal Compliance)

Overview

Data Analyst for IP and Legal Compliance Operations, acting as a data SME and reporting on operational performance of IP enforcement and legal compliance workflows.

What you'll do

• Own analysis and reporting for IP operations and legal compliance workflows.
• Deliver recurring KPI packs for senior leadership across Safety, Legal, and Developer Relations partners.
• Identify opportunities using trend and cohort analysis and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Science, IP Product, Policy, and Operations to define and maintain metric definitions and analytical guardrails.
• Design, build, and maintain operational reports and dashboards for IP enforcement and compliance health.
• Select analytical methods, extract relevant data, and derive actionable insights to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate them into operational data strategies and tooling.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of professional experience in quantitative analysis and complex program management.
• Good understanding of intellectual property operations (e.g., copyrights, trademarks, Digital Rights Management).
• Good understanding of legal compliance processes (e.g., regulatory response SLAs, privacy operations, or law enforcement guidelines).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, common table expressions, and window functions.
• Working knowledge of Git and Python and/or R (highly desirable).
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams including Legal, Product, Engineering, and IP/Compliance Operations.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technical/analytical field; MBA/MS preferred.
