Data Distribution Engineer

Overview

Develop and deploy a modern financial data distribution platform using GCP technologies. Collaborate with the Principal Data Distribution Engineer, Software Product Management, cross-functional peers and stakeholders to design, build, prove, migrate, operate and optimize reliable data services for a global client base.

What you'll do

• Generously share your experience to help your peers develop and grow.
• Interpret product needs, requirements and enterprise policies into design and implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the data distribution roadmap.
• Invest in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pipeline performance and customer satisfaction.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in cloud data distribution and operation, to form and disseminate new insights.
• Lead the design, implementation, operation and optimization of the data distribution platform.
• Build, prove and migrate solutions to the new stack.

What you'll need

• 5+ years' experience, incorporating focus on data distribution in the cloud.
• Experience leading the development and deployment of large-scale, complex data pipelines.
• Experience using and getting the best out of generative AI approaches.
• API first mindset.
• Implementation of decomposed batch preparation and real-time API pipelines.
• Experience of user-entitlement management.
• Experience of cloud development, the benefits and challenges.
• Experience of GCP products across database, serverless, containerization and API.
• Experience using agile to deliver incremental value.
• Experience working in a global or multinational team setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Focus on simplicity, automation and observability.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expertise in Python, Golang, SQL, Apigee.

Nice to have

• Experience building and integrating agentic RAG solutions into data pipelines.
• Experience with data cataloguing capabilities.
• Domain knowledge of financial market data and financial index data models and feeds.
