Data Engineer

Overview

Data Engineer responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft-based data solutions using Azure services, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and reporting integrations.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database.
• Build ETL/ELT processes for structured and semi-structured data.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data models.
• Support data warehouse and data lake implementations, cleansing, and quality checks.
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and improve performance.
• Prepare data layers for Power BI datasets and reporting teams.
• Create technical documentation for data flows, mappings, models, and procedures.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of relevant data engineering, database, ETL, or data warehousing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including query optimization.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft data services.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and incremental loads.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Python, PySpark, or C# programming or scripting experience.
• Microsoft Azure, Power BI, SQL Server, data warehousing, or cloud data certifications.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile practices.
