Overview
Data Engineer responsible for designing data representations and models that support business processes, reduce redundancy, and improve enterprise information management.
What you'll do
- Partner with application developers to determine the best data representation for business processes.
- Analyze raw data and develop and maintain datasets to improve data quality and efficiency.
- Create and optimize data models to support an enterprise data analytics perspective and efficient retrieval.
- Design and maintain data pipeline architecture for scalable solutions and large imports.
- Engage with business users to solicit requirements and iteratively refine conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve enterprise data analytics deliverables.
What you'll need
- More than 3 years of experience in data engineering and modeling, emphasizing data analytics and reporting.
- Experience designing and developing relational databases in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of business intelligence best practices, dimensional modeling, data warehousing, SQL, and reporting solutions.
- Experience with reporting tools including Power BI and Tableau (must).
- Hands-on experience delivering solutions using Snowflake (required).
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Matillion ETL.
- Comfort working with Python.
