Data Engineer III

Overview

Data Engineer III responsible for designing, developing, and operating complex data applications and highly available distributed systems for large-scale batch and real-time processing.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and operate complex data applications and distributed systems.
• Build and maintain large-scale batch and real-time data processing solutions.
• Lead code reviews and recommend improvements to systems, tools, and operational processes.
• Improve efficiency across technology, processes, and organizational boundaries.
• Drive advancements in data engineering, cloud platforms, analytics, BI, and data science technologies.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and present technical and operational findings.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong software development skills in multiple languages such as Java, Python, Scala, and Spark.
• Experience building, operating, and maintaining production data pipelines and data products.
• Experience with large-scale batch and real-time data ingestion, processing, storage, movement, and access.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing highly available and observable systems, including data modeling and schema design.
• Cloud experience in the data domain and strong testing, monitoring, and observability practices.
