Data Engineer (L5) - Ads

Overview

Data Engineer (L5) for Netflix’s Ads Data Engineering team, building the data ecosystem that powers Ads understanding and decision-making.

What you'll do

• Architect, strengthen, and expand core Ads data products that scale the business.
• Own critical portions of Netflix Ads data products end to end.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and model tables using data warehouse best practices.
• Develop large-scale batch and/or streaming data processing solutions for timely, high-quality data.
• Partner with analytics, data science, and software teams to support analysis, ML, and reporting.
• Develop best practices for governance of data sets with sensitive information.

What you'll need

• Extensive background working with data at scale.
• Experience building batch or streaming production data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with distributed processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Hive/Hadoop.
• Knowledge of data modeling and establishing data architecture across multiple systems.
• Hands-on command programming with Python, Scala, or Java.
• Data exploration using SQL.
• Strong fundamentals in data privacy concepts (role mentions privacy and GDPR).
