Data Engineer (L6) - Ads (Signals and Measurement)

Overview

Staff Data Engineer leading Netflix’s Ads Signals & Measurement data engineering team across conversion & attribution, measurement foundations, and audience onboarding & identity.

What you'll do

• Set technical direction and design coherence across orgs for ads signals and measurement domains.
• Resolve cross-domain design decisions to converge on scalable approaches.
• Mentor and coach data engineers, including adoption of AI and emerging tools.
• Partner with senior engineers on the data platform and D&I teams on horizontal efforts.

What you'll need

• 12+ years building data-foundation, backend, or data engineering systems.
• Experience in advertising or ad-tech data, including ads identity graph, measurement, and/or targeting.
• Experience driving technical direction and building trust across organizational lines.
• Experience building for data privacy and governance, not treating it as a checkbox.
• Clear communication translating technical nuance for engineers and business context for leaders.
• Comfort with ambiguity and helping teams reach shared decisions.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in Computer Science with a data focus.
• Experience formally mentoring engineers on their technical growth.
