What you'll do

• Set technical direction and design coherence across the Ads Data Engineering org.
• Resolve and weigh in on cross-domain design decisions to scale across the org.
• Partner with Ads DE leadership as a senior technical voice bridging technical strategy and business priorities.
• Mentor and coach data engineers across the org, including adopting AI and emerging tools.
• Contribute to platform-wide and data platform partnerships, including Ads Platform Engineering and Ads Data Science.
• Define what AI-native data engineering looks like for Ads Data Engineering as it evolves.

What you'll need

• 15+ years building data-foundation, backend, or data engineering systems.
• Experience building for trust and driving technical direction across organizational lines.
• Real time experience in advertising or ad-tech data.
• Comfort moving across multiple data engineering domains.
• Experience through major platform migrations or data product journeys from 0 to 1 and 1 to 100.
• Ability to translate technical nuance for engineers and business context for leaders.
