Data Engineer, Proprietary Research

Overview

Design and build end-to-end data pipelines and tools that help investment professionals extract insights from large, complex compliance-approved structured and unstructured data sets.

What you'll do

• Develop and support big data processing pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and end-customer delivery.
• Build cloud-based infrastructure using distributed techniques for data engineers, data scientists, and researchers.
• Evaluate new big-data technologies through proof of concept studies.
• Build and support visualization and exploration capabilities for big data sets.
• Work with investment professionals, researchers, and data scientists to design, build, and launch data pipelines and tools.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in big data technologies.
• Strong experience in Python development.
• Experience with Spark or Scala.
• Ability to devise novel and innovative solutions to challenges.
• Knowledge or experience with graph databases (plus).
