Data Migration Engineer

Overview

Data Migration Engineer role executing data migration by extracting, transforming and loading data into the target system according to defined rules, and building, running and validating migration scripts and processes to ensure data quality and consistency.

What you'll do

• Extract data from source systems, transform it to meet the target system's requirements, and load it accurately.
• Build and execute migration scripts and monitor the migration workflow.
• Validate migration results to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and migration objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues and data inconsistencies that arise during migration.
• Document migration processes and maintain clear records of data transformations and validations.
• Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support during migration tasks.
• Continuously monitor and optimize migration workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What you'll need

• Must have: proficiency in Looker Studio.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Looker Studio.
• Strong knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques.
• Experience in developing and validating migration scripts to ensure data quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies during migration.
• Familiarity with data validation and reconciliation processes.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• 15 years full time education.
