Data Reliability Engineer

Overview

Data Reliability Engineer to ensure reliable, accurate, and timely data delivery for a large trading research infrastructure and predictive modeling in finance.

What you'll do

• Own and ensure reliability, accuracy, and timeliness of thousands of mission-critical data ETL pipelines.
• Manage and resolve data incidents in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Partner with portfolio managers, data scientists, and external data vendors on data issues.
• Design and build tooling, automation, and robust documentation to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Perform daily data operations including validation, remediation, and enrichment.
• Improve and modernize workflows using engineering best practices.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
• 3+ years of experience in a client-facing support or operations role.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Databricks.
