Data Scientist

Overview

Data Scientist responsible for open-ended research and data-driven problem solving in the oil and gas domain using AI, machine learning, and deep learning.

What you'll do

• Develop data-driven solutions for oil and gas applications.
• Generate research ideas and execute research projects.
• Build algorithms and prototypes for classification, regression, anomaly detection, failure prediction, and optimization.
• Collaborate with business and engineering teams on scalable industrial software.
• Review projects and contribute to technical discussions.
• Present ideas, plans, and results to stakeholders.
• Participate in technical forums and conferences.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years of experience in algorithm development using general AI or generative AI.
• MS, MTech, or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied sciences, engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Deep understanding of generative AI and deep learning algorithms.
• Knowledge of applications in text analytics, NLP, or computer vision.
• Strong background in linear algebra, statistics, and probability.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience developing deep learning models with TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation or agentic frameworks.
• Patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
