Database Administration - Advisor I

Overview

Database Administration - Advisor I role focused on administering and operating large-scale SQL Server databases on Windows Server, including Azure-based SQL clustering and replication.

What you'll do

• Provision and configure SQL Server instances for new and existing products.
• Analyze BAU work and automate L1/L2 tasks.
• Ensure database performance, security, and availability.
• Plan, implement, and maintain replication strategies.
• Perform break/fix and day-to-day operational activities.
• Manage backup and recovery, including setup and ongoing change reviews.
• Install, configure, and support SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of administering and maintaining SQL Server (or a Master’s degree with 3+ years).
• Scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL Server standards and best practices.
• Strong SQL Server database management and administration experience with large-scale databases.
• Hands-on experience with Always-On Availability Groups.
• Experience implementing SQL Server encryption models such as TDE and Always Encrypted.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL/T-SQL queries and jobs.
